Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Voice Inbox (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile applications and related services.

1. Information we collect

• Audio & transcripts. Voice notes you record, plus transcripts and related metadata (titles, tags, folders), stored on your device. If you use Pro cloud sync with a linked Google or Apple account, this content may sync to our cloud (Firebase).
• Account information. Optional Google or Apple sign-in may provide email and name. Anonymous use is available without linking an account.
• Usage & diagnostics. App events (for example recording completed, export format) and crash reports via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. We do not send full transcript text to analytics.
• Purchases. Subscription status via Apple/Google billing and RevenueCat.
• Advertising (free tier). Banner ads via Google AdMob. Pro removes ads.
• Optional AI features (Pro). If you use cloud re-transcription or AI tools, audio or transcript text may be sent to OpenAI to provide that feature.

2. How we use information

• To provide voice capture, transcription, search, folders, widgets, and Watch companions
• To sync and restore your inbox when you enable Pro sync and sign in
• To process subscriptions and remove ads for Pro
• To improve reliability (analytics and crash reporting)
• To show ads on the free tier

3. Sharing

We share data with service providers who help us operate the app:

• Google (Firebase, AdMob, Sign-In)
• Apple (Sign in with Apple, Speech recognition on device where used, App Store / StoreKit)
• RevenueCat (subscriptions)
• OpenAI (only when you use Pro cloud STT / AI features)

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Retention & deletion

You can delete your account and data in the app under Settings → Delete account & data. That removes local content and, where possible, cloud data and your Firebase Auth account. You may also request help at Contact support.

5. Children

Voice Inbox is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

6. International transfers

Providers may process data in the United States or other countries with appropriate safeguards.
