Revu Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 24, 2026
Revu is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect your information when you use the app.
Information We Collect
- Revu does not require account creation. The app generates a backend UUID to identify and support your app usage.
- We process chat text and, when enabled by the user, image or voice inputs in order to provide AI-assisted output.
- Basic technical and diagnostic data may be collected for app reliability and abuse prevention.
- For the Recent list and cross-device sync, we retain at most 20 recent generations per app install. Each may include your message, any context you provided, tone settings, and the model's replies. This limited history is stored on our servers and on your device.
How We Use Information
- To deliver chat-based app features and maintain service quality.
- To associate usage with a backend UUID instead of named user accounts.
- To monitor reliability, troubleshoot failures, and prevent abuse.
Revu keyboard
When you use the Revu keyboard and tap Generate, the message text in the keyboard is sent to our API over HTTPS to create reply suggestions, using the same processing and limits as the main app. This feature is for Power users. Optional PII redaction in app settings also applies to keyboard text when enabled.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted providers only where necessary to run the app. Revu sends user chat, image, and voice inputs to OpenAI via OpenAI's API endpoints (for example, https://api.openai.com/v1/responses) to generate responses requested by users.
Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to deliver the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
