Revu Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 24, 2026
Revu is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect your information when you use the app.
Information We Collect
- Revu does not require account creation. The app generates a backend UUID to identify and support your app usage.
- We process chat text and, when enabled by the user, image or voice inputs in order to provide AI-assisted output.
- Basic technical and diagnostic data may be collected for app reliability and abuse prevention.
- For the Recent list and cross-device sync, we retain at most 20 recent generations per app install. Each may include your message, any context you provided, tone settings, and the model's replies. This limited history is stored on our servers and on your device.
How We Use Information
- To deliver chat-based app features and maintain service quality.
- To associate usage with a backend UUID instead of named user accounts.
- To monitor reliability, troubleshoot failures, and prevent abuse.
Revu keyboard
When you use the Revu keyboard and tap Generate, the message text in the keyboard is sent to our API over HTTPS to create reply suggestions, using the same processing and limits as the main app. This feature is for Power users. Optional PII redaction in app settings also applies to keyboard text when enabled.
Advertising
Revu may show optional rewarded ads to free users who have not purchased a credit pack. Watching a short video can unlock a limited number of extra free replies for that day. Paid plans (Basic, Pro, Power) and credit-pack users do not see ads.
Ads are provided by Google AdMob. When an ad is shown or loaded, Google and its partners may collect advertising identifiers (subject to your device settings and consent), device and app information, approximate location from IP address, and ad impression, click, and rewarded-video completion data.
We use this only to show and measure ads and to grant the reply bonus. We do not use your messages, images, or voice inputs to personalize ads, and we do not sell your personal information.
On iOS, you may be asked for App Tracking Transparency permission; you can decline. In the EEA, UK, and similar regions, a consent form (Google’s User Messaging Platform) may appear before personalized ads. For more detail, see Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted providers only where necessary to run the app. Revu sends user chat, image, and voice inputs to OpenAI via OpenAI's API endpoints (for example, https://api.openai.com/v1/responses) to generate responses requested by users. To show optional rewarded ads for free users, we use Google AdMob. Google and its partners may receive the advertising-related information described in Advertising above.
Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to deliver the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Your Choices
- You may contact us to ask privacy-related questions.
- You can avoid ads by upgrading to a paid plan or using credit packs; those users do not see ads.
- You can limit ad tracking in your device settings (for example, Android’s “Delete advertising ID” / “Opt out of Ads Personalization,” or iOS App Tracking Transparency and Limit Ad Tracking settings).
- Where a consent form is shown for ads, you can change or withdraw consent through that form or by contacting us.
